[ sometime later - much later, actually, so that she has time to recover - Hikage goes to find Cardia again. He doesn't bring anything with him this time. Too much went on. He's not in the mood to bake - or to comfort her, as it turns out.

Look at what we do to each other. You've been dragged down to our level. Whatever you were created for, I'm sure it wasn't for hurting or killing or having your heart broken. Am I wrong? You were given life, and we ruined it.

There's a choice. They could have fought harder. They could have confessed, or tried to rally us together. In the first place, this game wouldn't work at all if we weren't fundamentally distrustful of each other.

[ if nobody lied, then the game would end immediately... but everyone lies. ]

If they had to take a life, they could have even taken their own.

I don't know what kind of rules they're forced into. Until I do, I couldn't possibly judge them.
