You really don't think any of those weapons were missing?

[ Souji has to be smart, and fairly skilled with weapons, too; if he's going to go look for more information, this is a fine place to start.

They were all pretty rusty to begin with, so they probably wouldn't have been good for killing someone, but still... It's the obvious answer. ]

[There's a little moment of consideration, first, but Souji eventually shakes his head.]

I can't be entirely sure because I didn't take inventory. [Though he might try to do so after this, damn.] Nothing seemed to be gone, though. Some things were moved around outside of the pile, but that was the biggest difference in the room. To be honest, it almost looked like whoever went in there only wanted a place to put Nico.

I don't get why they'd bother. The bigger question is why he was even in there.

Everything that people mentioned finding seemed very intentional, didn't it? The way things were arranged, where people were left... It might be as simple as someone trying to obscure what actually happened, but it almost seems like too much effort for that.

No, I think that's exactly what it was. Since we don't know much about each other or even what's going on, the only thing we can go off of is the evidence at the scene of the crime. They made sure to make all of that useless, too.

[ Hikage frowns, staring at his baking manju. ]

... If I knew any of those people, maybe I could find some connection.

[He swallows a small sigh. Red herrings are the last thing he wants to deal with... Being part of a police task force sure didn't give him any crime-solving skills beyond what he can solve with a blade.]

We can take another look at their tapestries later to see if anything is there, at least. If it's just about surface similarities... [Then he's at a loss??] I've spoken to most of them at least a few times, but nothing immediately comes to mind. If you think the mess is designed to throw people off, the ones involved might not have a pattern for the same reasons.
