[ Has Hikage ever really talked to Evan before? Like, once, maybe, in a trial? He thinks. Maybe. But he doesn't really care. He's coming up to Evan's room and knocking on the door, as if this is totally normal. ]

[HEY WATER DORM WHAT'S ALL THIS JAZZ. Souji doesn't even go here but he's poking his head in, probably having wheezed his way back from visiting the morgue or something. What time and day even is this, god.

--Ah! I thought I heard your voice.

[He doesn't even specify which person he's talking about?! Anyway he's the furthest out of the loop here, he just also has impeccable timing. Hi party.]

[ what a fortunate plot contrivance - there's souji! Hikage waves at him in a way that's more utilitarian than friendly; he wants his attention. ]

[ apparently only souji warrants the respect of being asked if now's a good time ]

[Hikage, that is. He definitely told everyone else in this group. To Souji, though:]

I'll be on the ground dealing with whatever happens to Evan. I think it'll be fine. But we'll see.

[He seems fine with it, though... He'd been down with sneaky night shenanigans but if everyone else is just fine with yeeting Evan off a tower in broad daylight SURE, SIGN HIM UP.]

[ look at all these COWARDS, not willing to push AN INNOCENT MAN OUT OF A TOWER in BROAD DAYLIGHT. Good thing Hikage is here to take the lead and make it happen. ]

[ he starts heading off towards the stairs, assuming the rest will come with him. Other than Rebecca, maybe... ]

[Offered as a gentle explanation to Souji. He follows after Hikage, even if he's looking pretty hesitant about this.]

[ Meanwhile Rebecca's going to veer off course from the rest of them. If she needs to do what she has to, she needs to be at the bottom of wherever this mistake is. ]

Souji will follow along up the stairs without fuss (albeit with some wheezing), though he does give Evan a mildly concerned look. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF, EVAN.]

[Also the mattress but he assumes moving that's a no-go if they're doing this i BROAD DAYLIGHT.]

He said he didn't need anything...

[ said with the tone of someone who doesn't actually know if he needs something or not. Hikage looks at Evan questioningly.

I said I wanted to go back to my room and grab something and you told me to shut up, actually...?

[But he shrugs, glancing to Souji.]

But, um, Tiger said I could use my ability for this after all. So... It'll probably be fine.

[Oh my god why are they both like this, HIKAGE ESPECIALLY, DON'T BULLY...

Ah! Really? [That's some good news, at least! Except for the fact that someone could now see Evan just using it in broad daylight, hm.] ...Well, if you think it'll be enough...

[STILL VAGUELY UNCERTAIN. He'd offer to run back and get the rope for Evan but it would take him 100 years.]

[ EVAN WAS BEING DIFFICULT HE NEEDED A FIRM HAND... he seems annoyed again now. ]

If you really need it, then go get it.

[ hikage is still going up the stairs rather than stopping, however... ]

[Getting shoved out of a window is less terrifying than Hikage's judgment, apparently. So, Evan's just going to follow him up the stairs. It's fine!!]

[JUST GIVING EVAN A FUCKIN LOOK...

But he'll follow along anyway without further question, since apparently his concern only extends for as long as Evan's does.]

anyway, they eventually get to the window of the tower. being that it's in a medieval castle, it's really just an open hole in the stone wall. Once they're there, he gestures to Evan. ]

Do whatever you wanted to do. Just tell me when you're ready.
