Of course she'd imagine that Hikage was a good partner, someone likeable, even in a situation like this. Belph, on the other hand... He doesn't have those excuses. He's secretive, playing his cards close to his chest - on top of that, he's blunt and intellectual. Hikage doesn't even think he's been particularly nice to him.

Maybe that's why humans continue to associate with one another, even though other people drag us down. We need to be seen through someone else's lens, other than our own.
